A distinct chemistry from the ultramarines, and a distinct position in the colour space — deeper and further from the blue axis than ultramarine violet. It completes the shade range available to cosmetics and coatings formulators, and can also be used for colour correction in plastics applications.
A distinct chemistry from the ultramarines, and a distinct position in the colour space — deeper and further from the blue axis than ultramarine violet. It gives formulators a mineral violet with its own performance profile, across cosmetics, plastics and coatings.
Depending on formulation, binder chemistry and processing conditions.
Provides a distinctive reddish-violet shade with excellent colour stability for cosmetic formulations.
Ideal for creating clean violet tones and cool undertones in pressed powders, eye products and colour cosmetics.
Delivers reliable violet colour performance in decorative and nail applications.
Enables stable violet shades in selected soap and bath product formulations.
Offers an inorganic violet option for selected plastic applications requiring heat stability and low migration.
Provides durable violet colour effects for coatings and specialty formulations.
Helps fine-tune undertones and create elegant violet nuances in complex pigment blends.

A pioneer in high-performance ultramarine pigments for plastics, Holliday Premium Pigments developed advanced solutions for both thermoplastic and thermosetting systems.
Engineered for demanding polymer applications, our ultramarine pigments combine excellent heat stability, easy dispersion and complete insolubility in plastics. Unlike many organic pigments, they help preserve dimensional stability in polyolefins while their inherent transparency delivers a refined, high-purity “crystal blue” effect in clear polymers.

Suitable for a broad range of paint and coating systems, including selected water-based formulations and powder coatings for industrial and household applications.
Ultramarine pigments disperse easily, provide excellent lightfastness and offer good heat stability in appropriately formulated systems. They are well suited to strong blue shades and to the optical correction of whites. In selected powder coatings, suitable grades can contribute to durable, visually consistent finishes.
Where products are intended for use on the skin, safety is paramount. Our cosmetic colour portfolio includes synthetic ultramarines and manganese violet, selected for their clean shades, reliable performance and suitability for a wide range of cosmetic applications, subject to applicable regulations and grade compliance.
Approved for use in cosmetic applications under major regulatory frameworks, including the FDA, the EU and Japan, subject to the relevant specifications and restrictions. Manufacturers can choose from a broad colour range — from red-shade blue to green-shade blue, ultramarine violet, ultramarine pink and manganese violet — for applications such as eye shadows, mascaras, eyeliners, blushers, lip products, and body and face make-up, where permitted by applicable regulations.

New applications are constantly being developed for ultramarine pigments and manganese violet, reflecting their versatility in selected industrial and colour-critical applications.
From artists’ colours and printing inks to construction materials, seed coding, detergent whitening and specialty colour applications, ultramarine pigments and manganese violet offer distinctive shades, reliable performance and formulation opportunities where clean colour, heat stability and visual differentiation are required.
Professional artists’ colours and selected creative applications — including oils, acrylics, watercolours, gouache and pastels — depending on pigment grade, formulation and applicable safety requirements. Ultramarine pigments provide clean blue, violet and pink shades, while manganese violet offers a distinctive mineral violet tone.
Selected printing ink and packaging applications, including screen, flexographic and gravure inks, hot stamping foils and specialty packaging, subject to pigment grade, formulation, regulatory requirements and end-use conditions.
Suitable for selected specialty industrial applications where distinctive colour, good stability and reliable pigment performance are required. Suitability should be assessed according to the pigment grade, formulation, processing conditions and final end-use requirements.
Selected rubber and leather applications, subject to manufacturers’ specifications, pigment compatibility, processing conditions and end-use performance requirements.
Colour coding for treated cereal grains.
Whitening agents and colour correction for paper and white powders. Manganese violet should be considered separately for selected shade adjustment or specialty colour applications.
